We
welcome SIXTH Treasurer – Ms. Sylvia B. Spinney As President, it is my
pleasure to introduce you to our new treasurer. She comes to us as a valued
member with much field experience that she is willing to share for the good of
the Society. We look forward to having her serve with us on the Board of
Directors. Kudos to Al Avjian for providing 19 years of exemplary service.
VOLUNTEER
OPPORTUNITIES IN YOUR SOCIETY Two
positions are currently presented for your consideration:

WEB-MASTER would involve a member with a sound computer knowledge working
from their home to maintain the web page www.mysticvalleyrs.org
In addition they route messages to various officers that would come
via our email address:
-
TRIP TEAM MEMBER(s) is in need of an individual or a couple who has an
appreciation and knowledge of group travel, destinations throughout the
Northeast. This would involve researching a trip from the concept to the
hard copy to appear in our WAYBILL. It requires typing or computer skills
and the ability to communicate via phone or written word, coupled with a
healthy respect for deadlines. Personal transportation is nice but not
essential. You meet 8 times per year in 3-4 hour sessions within Route 128
at locations and times decided by the group. If you enjoy a challenging
activity that involves much armchair travel then this may be something for
you to consider for all members to produce 2 or more trips per quarter.
