Ride with us via Amtrak to Savannah, GA. Located in Georgia’s celebrated Atlantic coast in the midst of the low country region, Savannah was the first city settled in the state of Georgia. It is a bustling port city on the Savannah River composed of park-like squares surrounded by genteel homes, stately churches and intriguing shops. Everywhere you look are reminders of the Old South’s magnificence and history. From Savannah we will venture forth into some of the most beautiful territory the South has to offer; from pristine beaches, stunning lighthouses, and shrimp fishing fleets, to historic rail depots and stations to deep woods adventures at the mouth of the Okefenokee Swamp.
