From the Vice President/ Membership Chairpersonby Theresa E. Rylko As
we roll into the Winter Season, I thank you all for your support and interest in
the trips and activities of your society. This has helped to make this a very
good year. Don’t forget the Calendar judging and Nominating on Jan 21, 2012 at Mount Vernon. On
the front of the Waybill - on the address label – to the right of your name
there is a code. : Many
members have expressed concern over the meaning of these codes. The beginning
year of the membership is what is used for this code. In
order to receive your 2012 New England RR Calendar the code next to your name
must read either of the two codes listed below: ·
LIFE - means
that you are a member for your natural life. · M11 - means that you have joined for the April 1, 2011 – March 31, 2012 and will be sent the 2012 New England Railroad Calendar between Thanksgiving and New Year’s. The
membership year runs from April 1 – March 31. Any memberships processed after
January 1, 2012 will automatically get put into the new membership year coded as
M12 and will be eligible for the 2013 calendar. After the first of our fiscal
year (April 1st) those members who have not renewed automatically get coded as
mail. (This is to remind you that you must renew in order to get membership
privileges for the new fiscal year.) The
Calendars are mailed out between Thanksgiving and New Year’s by the volunteers
of the Society and take approx. 4 – 6 weeks to go through the postal system.
The USPS does not forward bulk rate mail. Calling
